Me and my wife Minna made a ski trip to the Sestriere resort and Via Lattea ski area in North-West Italy, 2020 February 1st to 8th.
Just me and Minna on this trip. It was a package from STS Alpresor. Flight from Helsinki to Torino was 3 hours, then bus transfer 2 hours from airport to Sestriere. We stayed at hotel Sud-Ovest on half board. I had 7 days of skiing.
Little did we know then that this would be the last trip outside Finland or the the Alps for a long time. During the trip there were some odd news about some new virus outbreak in China. But nobody thought that would affect us in any time soon. Just 3 weeks after we departed, Sestirere and all the ski resorts in the Alps shut down. And the next winter 20/21 everything was closed 🙁
